Green Commons - Commercial Development
Albuquerque, New Mexico

Designed to achieve LEED Silver certification, Green Commons is a green commercial development intended to help drive the economic revitalization of Albuquerque’s emerging downtown neighborhood. Green Commons will offer flexible spaces for large and small businesses, green start-ups, artists’ studios, and local entrepreneurs, along with a planned on-site café.

Green Commons is a key ingredient of the master plan created by Jonathan Rose Companies Southwest affiliate, Romero Rose, to redevelop two and one-half vacant city blocks across from Albuquerque’s newly renovated Alvarado Transportation Center. Green Commons will complement the two other components of our development - Silver Gardens, a mixed-income affordable housing rental project, and Elements, a for-sale townhome development - and will provide a lively daytime presence and regular pedestrian traffic, as well as a creative nexus for Albuquerque’s downtown renaissance.

Green Commons’ dynamic U-shaped three-story buildings will house units ranging in size from 400 to 12,000 square feet, giving tenants the flexibility to expand into larger floor plans as enterprises thrive and grow. Large windows, private balconies, and outdoor walkways will bring light and air into these spaces, complement the environmentally progressive design of the building, and provide a healthy and inspirational environment in which to work.
