Located in scenic Millbrook, New York, a two-hour drive from Manhattan, the Fountains at Millbrook is a 200-acre resort-style retirement community that boasts close proximity to world renowned attractions and the beauty of the rural Hudson Valley. With the addition of a new thirty-four apartment assisted living building that opened in the summer of 2000, the Fountains at Millbrook extended it’s commitment to the well-being and lifestyle of its residents by offering additional services on site. It’s many long term residents were able to remain on the campus longer because this new level of service was offered.
Jonathan Rose Companies involvement in the project began as Owner’s Representative for extensive renovation work on the existing buildings. When The Fountains decided to add to the assisted living building, they asked our firm to act as Owner’s Representative for the development of the new building.
As Owner’s Representative, we provided input on how best to design and take advantage of energy efficient design and green building techniques. We worked closely with the executive Director of The Fountains to coordinate with the construction schedule to minimize its impact on the daily operations. We were also responsible for providing the documentation required to complete licensing for the community. |
