Jonathan F.P. Rose
President, Jonathan Rose Companies

Known as an innovator in green building and smart growth development, Mr. Rose has over 30 years of experience  acquiring, developing and owning large scale, successful, green, mixed-use and mixed-income residential and commercial properties.  Mr. Rose is a trustee of the Urban Land Institute, Enterprise Community Partners, and the National Resources Defense Council and chairs the Trust for Public Land’s National Real Estate Committees.  He also serves as a trustee of the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), and serves on Yale University’s School of Forestry and Environmental and School of Architecture Leadership Councils.  Mr. Rose is a former partner of Rose Associates, a leading owner, developer and investor in New York City since the 1920s. Mr. Rose graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in Psychology and Philosophy, and received a Masters in Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania.
Wendy Rowden
Managing Director

Ms. Rowden leads the Investment Practice, drawing upon her 25 years of expertise in the real estate industry.  She has responsibility for all aspects of the Fund, including oversight of acquisitions, financing, asset management and investor relations.  Prior to joining Jonathan Rose Companies, Ms. Rowden served as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of The Rockefeller Group, the U.S. subsidiary of Mitsubishi Estate Co, one of the largest real estate concerns in the world.  Ms. Rowden was a Member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Cushman & Wakefield. She is currently on the Boards of Maimonides Medical Center and Safe Space NYC (a non-profit social services agency).  She has received numerous distinctions including the United Way’s first Women United in Philanthropy award.  A member of the Urban Land Institute, the Pension Real Estate Association, and the Real Estate Board of New York, Ms. Rowden also is a featured speaker on smart growth investments and the greening of existing buildings.  Ms. Rowden holds an undergraduate degree from Brown University and law degrees from the University of Michigan and New York University.


Nathan D. Taft
Director of Acquisitions

Mr. Taft leads the Investment Practice’s efforts to acquire assets and reposition portfolio properties with green building investments.  He has expertise in financing, design, construction management, marketing and leasing, and has been a featured speaker on the transformation of existing, historic buildings in the U.S. and Canada.  Mr. Taft sourced the original fund’s first acquisition, the Joseph Vance and Sterling Buildings in Seattle, Washington, which has become a flagship for that fund and its principles. He also managed the repositioning of the asset, which was granted USGBC LEED for Existing Buildings Gold Certification in 2009, creating what has been called “ground zero” for the green movement in Seattle.  Mr. Taft’s prior experience includes working for a double bottom line private equity fund at J.P. Morgan and leading public-private economic development partnerships for Yale University.  Mr. Taft is a member of the Pension Real Estate Association as well as the Urban Land Institute where he sits on the Responsible Property Investment Council.  Mr. Taft earned his M.B.A. from the Yale School of Management, and his B.A. in History from Yale University.


Greg Dwornikowski
Director of Asset Management

Mr. Dwornikowski leads the Investment Practice Group’s asset management team, bringing nearly 20 years of experience in the real estate industry. He has deep expertise in financial modelling, asset valuation, property management, marketing and leasing, and investor reporting. He has significant experience in property acquisitions and dispositions, managing property repositioning, and securing financing. Prior to joining Jonathan Rose Companies, Mr. Dwornikowski served as Senior Vice President & Director of Asset Management at Pitcairn Properties, a prominent Philadelphia-based real estate owner, manager, and developer. At Pitcairn, Mr. Dwornikowski oversaw the financial and operational performance of the company’s property portfolio, consisting of 4 million square feet of office space and 500 multi-family units. While at Pitcairn, Mr. Dwornikowski worked closely with the company’s development team in transitioning development projects to market. Mr. Dwornikowski holds a MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a B.S. in Accounting from LaSalle University. He began his career with KPMG where he earned his CPA.

Nicole Sherwood
Asset Manager, Investment Practice and
Executive Director, The Rose Urban Green New Market Tax Credit Fund

Ms.Sherwood has worked at Jonathan Rose Companies since 2005. She currently is Asset Manager for east coast properties owned by Jonathan Rose Companies sponsored funds.  Ms.Sherwood also is the Executive Director of The Rose Urban Green Fund, a Community Development Entity that allocates the New Market Tax Credit subsidy to eligible investments in low income communities.  She has experience in asset management, underwriting acquisitions, financial structuring and development of mixed income, mixed use projects.  Committed to environmentally responsible development and urbanism, Ms.Sherwood is LEED Accredited and an active member of the Urban Land Institute.  Prior to joining Jonathan Rose Companies, Ms. Sherwood worked as an analyst at Goldman Sachs and then as a Business Manager in Fannie Mae’s Credit Portfolio Strategies Group. Ms. Sherwood holds a MBA from the Harvard Business School (where she was a Robert Toigo Fellow) and a Bachelor of Arts, with honors, from Harvard College.



Virginia Plithides
Director of Finance

Ms. Plithides is responsible for the financial reporting of the funds' assets. Ms. Plithides has over twenty-eight years of real estate investment experience and has been a Certified Public Accountant in New York since 1986.  Prior to joining Jonathan Rose Companies, Ms. Plithides was the Controller of Red Stone Partners LLC, a private real estate finance company with a core focus on the multifamily industry.  Before joining Red Stone, Ms.Plithides hed several positions of increasing responsibility with Centerline Capital Group and its predecessor, Related Companies.  Her most recent role was Senior Vice President of the tax department. Ms.Plithides began her career at the accounting firms Blonder Seymour & Shapss and Bernstein & Berger.  Ms.Plithides graduated with distinction from the University of Rhode Island with a B.S. in Accounting.



R.Tom Boonyasai
Acquisitions Analyst

Mr. Boonyasai’s primary responsibilities include acquisition underwriting, asset management and deal sourcing. Immediately prior to joining Jonathan Rose Companies, Mr. Boonyasai worked for the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), where he provided investment analyses on commercial real estate assets owned by the City of New York and negotiated property sales, leases and workout agreements with private real estate developers.  Prior to NYCEDC, Mr. Boonyasai was an investment analyst at Morgan Stanley, Lehman Brothers and PricewaterhouseCoopers.  Mr. Boonyasai received an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. (magna cum laude) from New York University.


Clayton J. McPhail
Acquisitions Analyst 

Mr. McPhail is primarily responsible for property underwriting and valuation.  He is also tasked with deal sourcing, due diligence for new acquisitions, and various asset management duties.  Prior to joining Jonathan Rose Companies, Mr. McPhail worked for Madison International Realty, a real estate private equity firm that provides joint venture and preferred equity for stabilized commercial real estate as well as liquidity to holders of partnership and member interests.  Mr. McPhail also brings international experience to his role at Jonathan Rose Companies having worked for Frankfurt based Lohnbach Investment Partners, a German investment platform of the Soros Real Estate Investors Fund.  Mr. McPhail earned a Master of Design Studies (MDeS), Real Estate and Urban Development Concentration, from Harvard University.  He received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Tennessee.


William Goodman
Acquisitions Analyst / Project Manager 

Mr. Goodman is responsible for acquisitions underwriting, as well as assisting with deal sourcing and asset management.  He also contributes to various project management efforts for the Firm’s Development Practice.  His previous experience includes private and public sector urban development work with the Alliance for Downtown New York, the Washington, DC Office of Planning, and the Brookings Institution Metropolitan Policy Center.  Mr. Goodman earned his Master’s Degree in Urban Planning from Harvard University, concentrating in Real Estate Finance and Development.  He received his B.A. from Brown University.
Nami Park
Fund Accountant

As Fund Accountant, Ms. Park’s responsibilities include interfacing with third-party managers and ensuring timely and accurate property reports and budgets.  In addition, she assists with audits and investor reporting.  Prior to joining Jonathan Rose Companies, Ms. Park worked at PCCP, LLC (formerly Pacific Coast Capital Partners, LLC), a West Coast real estate finance and investment management firm.  She was responsible for the accounting and financing functions for the PCCP Equity Platforms.  Ms. Park also previously was a financial accountant at Kim & Lee, CPAs, working with commercial real estate clients in the public and private sectors. Ms. Park graduated Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music with a B.A. in Music and Business Management.  She currently is pursuing her CPA.



Andrew Hacker
Fund Accountant 

Mr. Hacker is responsible for the funds financial reporting and controls. Prior to joining Jonathan Rose Companies, Mr. Hacker was an accounting manager at Centerline Capital Group where he was responsible for the accounting and reporting of 35 Low Income Housing Tax Credit Funds with investments in over 300 properties nationwide. Mr. Hacker also worked at Lehman Brothers where he managed the global occupancy control function. He was responsible for the preparation of the $500 million annual Corporate Real Estate budget and the monthly financial highlight package. Mr. Hacker graduated from SUNY Oswego with a B.S. in Business Administration and minor in Economics and got his M.B.A. in Accounting from St. John’s University.



Louisa Cruickshank-Mills
Coordinator

As coordinator of the Investment Practice, Ms. Cruickshank-Mills is responsible for all administrative activities related to investor relations and asset management, including compilation of quarterly reports, distributions and capital call letters. She also oversees daily coordination of the Investment Practice, as well as assisting with research efforts. Ms. Cruickshank-Mills graduated Cum Laude from Binghamton University (SUNY at Binghamton), with a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics & Law and Africana Studies.


Stephanie Wright
Investor Relations and Research Analyst 

Ms. Wright is responsible for various investor relations and asset management activities including investor reporting, property operations, marketing and research.  Prior to joining Jonathan Rose Companies, Ms. Wright served as an Associate Consultant with The Concord Group, a national real estate consulting firm.  Ms. Wright also worked in property management and marketing for Yale’s Office of University Properties.  Ms. Wright earned a B.A. in English from Yale University and certificate in Real Estate Finance and Investment from New York University Schack Institute of Real Estate.



Thomas P. Loftus
Chief Financial Officer


Mr. Loftus has 20 years of real estate experience.  Prior to joining the Firm, he served as a senior officer at Tishman Speyer Properties, overseeing domestic and foreign financial staff.  He served as Chief Administrative Officer and was instrumental in two portfolio mergers at Cornerstone Properties Inc., a NYSE-listed REIT subsequently sold to Equity Office Properties.  He also coordinated the spin-off of Deutsche Bank’s real estate operations in the U.S. Mr. Loftus graduated Magna Cum Laude from Seton Hall University with his B.S. in Accounting and his M.B.A. in Finance, and is a Certified Public Accountant.


Charles J. Perry
Managing Partner, Perry Rose LLC 
(Dever, Colorado)

Mr. Perry is an authority in community-based planning and mixed-use, mixed income infill real estate development with more than 30 years of real estate and planning experience.  Mr. Perry is responsible for sourcing and managing projects in the Rocky Mountain region.  He developed award-winning green mixed-use projects including Highland Garden Village, a model urban development in Denver.  Mr. Perry was formerly a senior executive at the Denver Urban Renewal Authority and the Denver Planning Office.  He holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Denver and a Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Planning from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a specialization in citizen participation and land use planning.


Theresa Bell
Managing Partner, Romero Rose LLC
(Albuquerque, New Mexico)

Ms. Bell is a commercial real estate broker and developer with expertise in acquisitions, asset management and mixed-use development with more than 20 years of experience.  Ms. Bell is responsible for sourcing and managing projects in the Southwest.  She is currently managing the Firm’s Alvarado Transportation Downtown Albuquerque Redevelopment, a $50 million mixed-use development.  Ms. Bell received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with degrees in both Finance and Real Estate from New Mexico State University.
