Transportation

Proximity to safe and reliable transport is an important determinant of the quality of residents’ day to day lives.  All of our new developments are located in transit-oriented locations but some of our older communities are underserved by public transport. We lobby to ensure public and school bus stops are conveniently located for our properties. We try to ensure that bus stops are provided with shelters to protect residents from the elements when waiting for transportation. We also frequently connect local chain stores or large grocery stores with our properties to provide charter buses that pick up residents weekly from our communities, take them shopping and then return them safely home.
