Asset Management

New York City Office


We are currently offering paid internships in our New York City Office.

Responsibilities

  • Interns will be expected to commit to work on a full-time (40 hours/week) basis. The internship is anticipated to being in May/June 2017 and last through August/September 2017. 
  • Interns will assist with general asset management tasks, such as:
    • Analyzing financial performance of assets
    • Developing operating and capital improvement budgets
    • Updating property business plans and assessing property cash flows
    • Developing and monitoring project schedules using Microsoft Project
    • Assisting in project construction management
    • Reviewing due diligence materials and documenting property conditions
    • Preparing memos and presentation materials
    • Attending project meetings and preparing meeting minutes
    • Helping Asset Managers coordinate the work of project team members, including design and construction professionals, attorneys, and sub-consultants
    • Reviewing architectural plans
    • Reviewing legal documents
    • Assisting Asset Managers in all aspects of their work

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate should currently be enrolled in a master’s program, demonstrate strong leadership and entrepreneurial skills, and be able to work in a team-oriented environment. Candidates should have strong organizational, analytical, verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Education or experience in the disciplines of real estate development is required, and may include one or more of the following: urban policy and land use planning, economic development and public finance, real estate development and project management, real estate asset management, real estate economics, design and construction management, project management, green building, or sustainable community development. 
  • All candidates should have good real estate financial modeling skills. Candidates are expected to have excellent skills in standard computer software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
