Development—New York, NY

570 Washington Street

570 Washington is an exciting opportunity to develop the first affordable development in the West Village in over 20 years and will bring much-needed senior housing to a desirable neighborhood in Manhattan that is adjacent to many community services and public parks. 570 Washington Street will provide 176 units of senior affordable housing, with 30% of the units designed for formerly homeless residents and 70% of the units at 50% AMI.

Designed by Cook+Fox and SLCE, the Project will promote aging in place for seniors with 5,600 SF of modern amenity spaces including a community room with a warming kitchen, a health and wellness center, dedicated social service offices and meeting rooms, a computer room and library, and a fitness room. The Project will be certified to LEED Gold standard and meet Local Law 97 requirements.  It will have a high-efficient heat pump heating and cooling system, water-saving fixtures and systems, efficient LED lighting, and stepped green roofs.
